You may remember Ashley from her Engagements photos I blogged back in May. In September we met up at her fiances family farmhouse for her Bridal Portraits and they could not have come out any better. We had gorgeous color and afternoon sun that competed brilliiantly with Ashley's own radiance. It was the perfect day to capture her beauty in such a meaningful place. Enjoy!
I love doing bridal portraits. No rush, no nerves and no pressure. 100% Gorgeous!!
Oh that word, FREE. Who doesn't love free? I am offering you the chance to get your session completely free, as well as the chance to get a product credit toward your photos. I posted this on my Facebook page yesterday. (BTW, make sure you are a fan so you don't miss anything!) I just asked that you share the status with your friends, comment on the status or just simply like it and then PM or email me for more details.
I am going to give you those little details right here but I would still love it if you would go like or comment and share that status! So, here is how you can get a session of your choice for free PLUS credit for the images you love from your session.
1. Be a fan of my FB page.
2. Get 3 friends to book a session. A session is not considered booked until the full retainer has been paid.
3. Book your session date.
That's it! How easy is that? Sessions can be for any type that I offer; boudoir, glamour, high school senior, engagement, bridal, maternity or couples. When you do all 3 of those steps you will get your session free PLUS $200 toward any Folio or album collection that I offer. You can also earn an additional $50 credit for each additional friend who books a session and pays their retainer fee. You could potentially get your session AND your photos for FREE!!!
There is one tiny little catch. All sessions must be booked with full retainer paid by February 15, 2014. This does not mean the session has to take place before then, it just has to be booked by then.
If you have wanted to do a session now is the time. While you are here, make sure you sign up for the FLP Newsletter so you are always informed of these types of events before they happen! It's super easy, just look for the Newsletter signup to the right of this post or down at the very bottom of every page.
Well if that didn't get your attention :)
I recently had a conversation with a client who contacted me about doing a boudoir session but she had some reservations. She said she was overweight and trying to lose but it just wasn't coming off. She said I want to do this for my husband because even though I don't like looking in the mirror he loves me just the way I am. *Sometimes it is hard for us to accept the way we look and we forget that those who love us, love us no matter what we look like on the outside.*
So, we started talking about how a typical session unfolds and then I asked her if she had seen the images on my boudoir page. I went on to tell her about some of the women on that page. There are women who we perceive as having the perfect body, a body that she and I (both curvy girls) would love to have, and do you know that even those women have body issues? It wasn't until they saw their photos that they understood what everyone else saw. They are beautiful. I then went on to tell her about the women on the other end of the spectrum. Women who most of the world sees as overweight and while they aren't entirely happy with their body, they still had the courage to do a boudoir session and they too discovered how beautiful they are.
We all have something we don't like about our image but I would be willing to bet there is at least one thing you love about your body. Maybe it's your eyes, hair, smile, boobs, butt, legs, heck maybe it's your feet. If there is one thing you love then you can build on that one thing. During your session we can accent that one part or two parts or however many parts there are that you love. On the flip side, we can stay away from the part or parts that you don't like so much. In studying posing techniques, I have learned all of the little tricks to showing off what you love and hiding what you don't.
We also talked about the misconception of age in relation to boudoir photos. They aren't just for the 20-30 year old who wants to do something fun and sexy for her man. Woman of all ages do boudoir sessions and they do them for all different reasons. It is true most women do them for their sweethearts but they also do them for themselves. A boudoir session is a great way to remind yourself that you aren't just a mother or a wife. You are a woman and you are beautiful. Even if you aren't a mother or a wife, you are a woman, you are beautiful and you can have sexy pictures of yourself just because. From the sassy 20-something all the way up to the 65+ grandmother, every woman who sits in front of my camera wants to hide something but by the time she is done, she loves herself a little more.
Keep in mind that just because you are doing boudoir doesn't mean you have to get down to your undies. If you feel sexy in your old jeans and over-sized sweater, or a tank top and boy shorts, or even that little black dress you don't get to wear often enough, then we can do a session around any of those. What you wear makes you feel sexy but how you act in those clothes is what makes you look sexy. And if it makes you feel better, you can always do a glamour session instead...keep your clothes on, keep it fun and still feel beautiful, confident and sexy!
Boudoir photos are not for everyone but anyone can do a session and love what they see as the result. Who knows, maybe once you do a session you will look in the mirror and love what you see, just the way you are.
If you would like more information about booking a session and what you will experience, please send me an email or give me a call @ 336-309-3506!
